Snood

The Snood is a type of headgear designed to hold the hair in a cloth or yarn bag. The Snood is a type of hairnet, only slightly thicker. Snood was often made more decorative. The Snood was decorated with jewelry, crocheted and sometimes made of fabric. The Snood became popular in the 1940’s during the war years, when women are not able to consistently do hairstyles.
