Men’s fashion 17th century
A century of dramatic changes in silhouette, proportion and decoration. At the beginning of the 1600s, men’s dress still carried many features of the late Renaissance:
Baby rattle
Baby rattle (rock crystal, coral and bells) is an accessory for infants that combined several functions: a rattle, a teether, sometimes a pacifier, quite often a whistle, and it also served as a protective charm.
Stomacher
The Stomacher is a decorated triangular panel as part of a corset. The Stomacher put on a corset and fastened with pins.
